As we step into December, concert season is officially here, and we’re excited for a new chapter filled with rich, engaging performances. Our first concerts of the season are just around the corner, and they promise to be a joyful celebration of music and community. To make these events run smoothly, we rely on the incredible support of our band families — not only in the audience, but also behind the scenes. Read on to discover what’s in store this month and where we could use some extra hands.

✨ Celebrate the season at the Winter Concert — Dec. 11

Mark your calendars for one of the most anticipated performances of the year! Our students will showcase their artistry at the Winter Concert, a highlight of the season that brings together the full band family for an evening of beautiful music.

🎺 Cheer on the band at the Plano Holiday Parade — Dec. 13

Get ready for one of Plano’s most beloved traditions! The Plano Holiday Parade will fill the streets with festive music and cheer as our band marches proudly through downtown. It’s a joyful way to kick off the holiday season and celebrate our community spirit.

📣 Calling all volunteers

We have several ways for you to support our students and programs this season! Whether you have a few hours or special talents to share, your help is truly appreciated.

Concert Wear Fittings (this week: Dec. 1–5)

Assist with concert wear fittings during band periods.
Shifts: 11 a.m.–12:45 p.m. (Periods 3 & 4), 1:45–2:40 p.m. (Period 5)

📌 Family Contribution due Dec. 15 for Disney Trip students

Students registered for the spring Disney trip must have their 2025 Family Contribution (FC) paid in full by Dec. 15. These contributions directly support meals, transportation, and instructional resources, ensuring every student enjoys the full band experience.
